PPN volunteer awards 2025 launch event

Volunteer of the Year 2024

In conjunction with the Waterford PPN Awards

This year the Waterford Volunteer Centre is again partnering with the Waterford PPN to bring you the Volunteer of the Year Awards. The awards acknowledge groups and individuals who, through their commitment to voluntary and community activities, have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of life in their communities.

The Volunteer Centre is sponsoring three individual award categories:

Junior (U18) Volunteer of the Year

This award recognises the outstanding contribution that a young person has made to their local community. Now is your chance to nominate those young people who encourage, support, lead, and inspire others in your community.

Age Friendly Volunteer of the Year

This award is dedicated to those volunteers over the age of 55, some of whom have spent a lifetime volunteering, and continue to bring knowledge, wisdom, and skills to clubs, organisations, groups, and the community.

Board/Committee Member of the Year

This award spotlights those volunteers who work behind the scenes, often in more than one organisation. Without their tireless contribution as board/committee members, many organisations would cease to exist.
