Burnout and Self-Care Workshop for Volunteers
Thursday, 30th July | 3:30–5:30pm | In-person Workshop
Venue: Waterford Volunteer Centre, 21 O’Connell Street, Trinity Without, Waterford, X91V650
Volunteering is a meaningful way to support others and strengthen our communities. However, giving your time and energy to others can sometimes come at the expense of your own wellbeing.
This interactive workshop is designed to help volunteers recognise the signs of stress and burnout, understand the importance of healthy boundaries, and explore practical ways to care for themselves while continuing to make a positive impact.
Whether you’ve been volunteering for years or are just getting started, this session will provide a welcoming space to reflect, learn, and connect with volunteers from different organisations.
During the workshop, you will:
- Recognise the early signs of stress and burnout;
- Explore healthy boundaries in your volunteer role;
- Learn simple self-care and breathing techniques;
- Reflect on your own wellbeing and motivation;
- Connect and share experiences with volunteers from across the community.
To help us tailor the workshop to your needs, please register in advance using the link below. Your responses will help shape the session around the topics that matter most to you.
The workshop is free to attend, but places are limited.
